Botox Injections

Botox is a toxin that is commonly injected into specific facial muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause these muscles to contract, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance.

The number of units required will vary for each person based on the region being treated, your intended result, lifestyle, and daily habits. Book a consultation to determine the precise number of units needed. 

Most patients typically notice results within 42-72 hours, with final results visible in two weeks. 

 Results vary from person to person, but typically last 3 to 4 months.  

• Some swelling and bruising at the injection side are possible. The swelling (small bumps) usually last about 15 minutes but no more than a few hours. 
• The injections may cause headaches in some patients. Over-the-counter pain-relieving medications can be taken as needed.
• Allergic reactions to Botox are extremely rare. 

For the first 24 hours:

• Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the treatment area. Including wearing glasses, hats or headbands. 
• Do not exercise, shower, or use a sauna.
• You may wash your face normally on the day of treatment, but don’t massage or use abrasive exfoliating or scrubs.

For the next 2 weeks:

• Avoid facial massage, microdermabrasion, laser treatment, peel procedure, etc.
